Elevate is seeking a detail‑oriented, proactive Immigration Paralegal to support our legal team in delivering high‑quality immigration services. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, communicates clearly, and enjoys helping clients navigate complex immigration processes. The Immigration Paralegal will perform legal document preparation and administrative duties on behalf of Elevate Immigration Law and will have extensive client contact and will work collaboratively with other members of the legal team. This position will report directly to the Managing Attorney.
Essential Duties:
§ Return office calls and emails and assist prospective clients in scheduling consults
§ Under the direction of the Managing Attorney, take the lead with client communication for intake of cases, collection of documents and information, and troubleshooting issues.
§ Provide competent case handling and management including proper use of software, tickler systems, and confidentiality
§ Evaluate cases, communicate concerns, complete legal documents and forms, support letters and assemble supporting documents for attorney review. This may include but is not limited to, visa applications, adjustment of status, naturalization, asylum as well as adoption and guardianship petitions and other related documents.
§ Gather, organize, and review supporting documentation.
§ Prepare, draft, and file a wide range of immigration petitions and applications, including:
- Employment‑based petitions (H‑1B, PERM, I‑140, etc.)
- Family‑based petitions (I‑130, I‑485, I‑765, I‑131)
- Naturalization applications
- Consular processing and visa applications
§ Collaborate with government officials, attorneys, paralegals, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and effective case management.
§ Assist with policy drafting as needed to ensure efficient systematic case management.
§ Conduct regular reviews of completed paperwork and files to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely follow-up.
§ Attend business meetings as assigned.
§ Manage case status, calendars, accounting and billing systems using firm software and document policies
§ Perform legal research related to immigration regulations, policy updates, and case strategy.
§ Draft correspondence, cover letters, and supporting statements.
§ Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards.
§ Stay update to date on changes to immigration policies, and procedures to maintain proficiency in the field.
§ Performs all other tasks as assigned.
§ **Some travel is required for training and technical support but less than 10%

Qualification Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate preferred, will consider equivalent experience.
· Prior immigration law experience (2 years) necessary.
· Familiarity with USCIS, DOS, DOL, and EOIR processes.
· Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.
· Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously with accuracy and composure.
· Proficiency with case management software (e.g., INSZoom, LawLogix, Docketwise, Dropbox) is a plus.
· Bilingual abilities are highly valued, especially Spanish, Burmese, Arabic, or French.
· Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
· Possesses a supportive and responsive manner with customers and colleagues.
· Has ability to perform multiple tasks in a complex working environment accurately and efficiently.
· Possesses above average computer knowledge and skills with experience using Adobe, Excel, and Microsoft a must.
· Has knowledge and experience necessary for independent decision-making ability.
· Preference to applicants located in Indiana.
