We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Princeton, New Jersey. In this role, you will play a key part in managing employment-based immigration processes, including H-1B applications and matters related to eligibility to work in the U.S., as well as overseeing I-9 verification and processing tasks. This position requires strong communication skills to interact with clients, legal representatives, and business leaders effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Handle employment-based immigration matters, including H-1B visa applications and processes related to eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Manage I-9 verification and processing with accuracy and compliance.
• Communicate with clients, their legal teams, and business leaders to ensure seamless coordination.
• Collaborate with external legal firms on petition preparation and submissions.
• Maintain detailed records of immigration cases and ensure timely updates.
• Review and organize discovery materials for immigration-related cases.
• Assist with trial preparation and civil litigation tasks as needed.
• Utilize case management software to track and manage case progress.
• Provide support in employment-based immigration law compliance.
• Stay updated on changes in immigration laws and policies.
• At least 1 year of experience in immigration law or related paralegal work.
• Familiarity with employment-based immigration processes such as H-1B visas and Green Cards.
• Proficiency in managing I-9 verification and processing.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and legal professionals.
• Experience using case management software to organize and track cases.
• Understanding of discovery, civil litigation, and trial preparation.
• Knowledge of immigration law and employment-based compliance.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
