Join our Immigration Team as a Clerk located in our New Jersey Office.

This role will be based in our New Jersey office, on a in-office basis. Regular in-office presence is required for day-to-day operations, as well as for team meetings, training opportunities, and relationship building. This role reports to the Immigration Practice Group Manager.
Position Summary
This position will provide direct support to our paralegals and attorneys. Highly collaborative group working closely together in a fast-paced environment to prepare a high volume of business immigration applications. Candidates should also be flexible to work overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Prints/scans documents; saves scanned documents into our electronic file system, FileSite
Follows up with clients and foreign nationals for completed questionnaires and missing documents; requesting checks
Processes incoming and outgoing correspondences, including preparing UPS mailing envelopes
Maintains client files, including editing letters and forms
Assists with data and time entries requests
Updates information and uploading documents into an immigration case management system
Requests checks and processes invoices
Calls USCIS and DOS as requested
Assists with light junior paralegal work when needed
Other projects/tasks as assigned
Some tasks involve billable time but there is no annual billable time requirement

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanor and presentation

Ability to successfully adapt to changing priorities and work demands
Position also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines, effectively prioritize multiple tasks

Strong problem-solving skills, takes initiative and uses good judgment, excellent follow-up skills
Education & Prior Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred
Minimum of 6 months to a year of administrative experience supporting multiple people in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Prior immigration experience and/or law firm experience is a plus
Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly
Technology
The expected pay range for this position is:
$24.73 to $27.47 per hour
Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
