Overview
We are a mission-driven law firm dedicated to representing vulnerable immigrant communities in their path to legal relief in the United States. We are currently seeking a team of Bilingual (Spanish/English) Licensed Staff Attorneys for several opportunitie. The Bilingual Staff Attorneys will work on immigration matters, mostly related to prepare and file adjustment of status applications (Form I-485) and represent clients before USCIS and other relevant immigration authorities.

Bilingual Attorney Responsibilities:

Prepare and file adjustment of status applications (Form I-485).
Review and assign follow-up services, including additional interviewing, referrals to other legal services providers.
Court appearances in immigration court to represent.
Monitor case activities.
Develop legal strategies and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and case progress within the law office.
Provide direct representation to detained or recently released immigrants as required.

Experience

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the state bar association and a valid license to practice law in Oklahoma, Virginia, California or Texas.
Strong skills in legal drafting and negotiation are essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
A commitment to ethical practices and maintaining client confidentiality is required.

Requirements

Licensed (Active Bar License) and in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction. Texas, Oklahoma, Virginia or California licensure is a plus.
Bilingual, English and Spanish speaking.
Experience practicing law and prior field work experience is preferred
3 years of experience practicing U.S. immigration law, is a plus.
Strong knowledge of humanitarian immigration relief and Form I-485 procedures.
Excellent legal writing and communication skills in English and Spanish proficiency highly valued.
Demonstrated commitment to working with vulnerable populations, including survivors of trauma or violence.
