Summary:
The Immigration & Global Mobility Specialist contributes to Cintra’s success by serving as the Subject Matter Expert of all immigration and global mobility matters. They are responsible for providing support on existing immigration cases and new visa sponsorship processes, ensuring timely coordination among external law firms and our different Cintra offices. The Immigration & Global Mobility Specialist is also responsible for assisting in global mobility matters related to our Expatriates Program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Global Mobility & Payroll:
Serve as the US point of contact for the Expatriates Program, providing assistance in matters related with relocation, global payroll and tax equalization.
Coordinates the end-to-end process for international assignments (long-term and short-term)
Manage the company's global mobility policy and keep track of market trends and compliance changes that may require policy updates.
Assist with payroll audits to identify discrepancies.
Partner with the US Payroll department to answer employee´s questions and ensure the accuracy of information.
Monitor and ensure compliance with HR matters related with the SOX Program.
Immigration Management:
Act as the point of contact and subject matter expert for all US Immigration inquires and questions from employees.
Initiate visa cases with external immigration counsel and assist on projects related to nonimmigrant and immigrant visas, paperwork requirements, gathering information, and reviewing information to ensure accuracy.
Ensure data governance and quality by timely managing reports, immigration files and score cards.
Obtain authorization checks, signatures and validate supporting documentation.
Support on education of recruiters, hiring managers, and employees on immigration matters.
Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure immigration programs are compliant, efficient, and responsive.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required
At least 3+ years of experience supporting expatriates' HR & Payroll
Experience with US Immigration Laws and visa management processes.
Reporting and HR Data Analysis experience preferred
Experience with Payroll processing desired

Computer Skills:
Must be able to demonstrate computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Excel, Word, Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint and other PC based programs
Experience with Workday and UltiPro is a plus
