Chicago Booth's Human Resources team is looking to hire an HR Specialist (Assistant Dir, HR Projects/Programs Support). We are looking for someone to provide overall support for both professional development and human resources functions within the HR department. This person will communicate through a variety of formats to market multiple programs and inform staff members on Booth-related topics. The Assistant Director will also manage the administrative, operational, and marketing activities of multiple programs.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and implement all logistics for professional development programs and events including room reservations, technical support, catering, and materials.
- Create and publish an organization-wide newsletter.
- Conduct marketing activities to promote events and programs to Booth staff.
- Create and deliver orientation sessions to new hires.
- Plan and lead programs to expand professional development and employee engagement initiatives.
- Conduct research to identify new professional development opportunities and provide benchmarks.
- Perform recruiting/hiring responsibilities as needed (perform research, review resumes/cover letters, provide recommendations).
- Provide scheduling and administrative support for development and HR programs/events throughout the year.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- A resume and cover letter are required to be considered for this position. A minimum of two years of work experience in a professional environment required, experience in human resources and/or with learning & development / training preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Deep commitment to customer service and the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work successfully in a fast-paced environment required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated initiative, and the ability to work both independently and within a team required.
- Superior organizational skills, prioritization skills, and attention to detail required.
The Compensation Range is between $54,000 - $62,000 (depending on knowledge, skills, and experience)
