Who You Are:
The Vice President of Marketing and Communications will be responsible for leading the strategic development and execution of marketing and communication initiatives across North America. This role requires a visionary leader who can drive brand awareness, elevate brand desirability, enhance customer engagement, and lead a high-performing team to achieve business objectives. This senior leader will be responsible for driving market-specific storytelling that align with global brand objectives while meeting the regional business goals.
This role demands a sophisticated understanding of the luxury space, as well as the retail and wholesale landscape in North America, a proven track record in integrated marketing communications, and exceptional leadership skills to inspire and direct cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced, globally connected environment.
What You’ll Do:
Strategic Cross-Functional Leadership & Brand Management
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies inclusive of Retail, Wholesale, CRM and Communications to support both brand equity and commercial goals.
- Lead market research and analysis to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Retail, Merchandising, Planning and Wholesale) to ensure campaigns, assets, and messaging are consistent and support the broader marketing calendar.
- Drive storytelling initiatives tailored to each season, ensuring alignment across global and regional markets.
- Oversee brand positioning and messaging to ensure consistency across all channels.
- Enhance brand visibility and reputation through effective public relations and media strategies.
Marketing & Performance Strategy
- Develop and implement short, medium and long-term seasonal strategies for marketing channels, focusing on traffic generation, engagement, and conversion.
- Develop and lead the regional CRM strategy to enhance customer engagement, retention, and lifetime value through personalized, data-driven marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Global CRM and Digital teams to align regional initiatives with global strategies, ensuring a seamless customer experience across all touchpoints.
- Partner with Retail teams to support store-level activations and VIP engagement strategies, enabling localized execution that strengthens customer relationships.
- Oversee and evolve the regional marketing efforts, ensuring robust return on investment and alignment with overall brand goals.
- Engage with wholesale marketing partners to develop seasonal digital marketing efforts as well significant activations on an annual basis. Work in close collaboration with them, meeting on a monthly basis to measure progress and performance.
- Create close collaboration with Boutique and Outlet channels to develop meaningful retail marketing activities focused on acquisition and retention.
Strategic Communications & Brand Positioning
- Design and execute an integrated communications strategy for North America that aligns with the global brand narrative while addressing regional market nuances.
- Partner closely with Global Headquarters to adapt and localize the overarching communications framework for NAM, ensuring relevance and resonance across all touchpoints.
- Collaborate with the global press office to align seasonal publicity efforts, pitch high-impact stories, and drive coverage in top-tier publications, focusing on premium placements and editorial features.
Public Relations, Media & Events
- Oversee the planning and execution of all events, partnerships, and brand collaborations within the NAM region. High focus on Retail and Wholesale activations.
- Identify and activate strategic media relations opportunities that support product launches, brand storytelling, and local partnerships.
Leadership & Budget Management
- Lead, develop, and mentor the North American team and manage relationships with external agencies and partners.
- Provide strategic oversight of marketing, communications, and event budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and measurable impact.
- Evaluate marketing performance through KPIs and metrics, providing actionable insights and reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Build, mentor, and lead a diverse marketing and communications team.
- Foster a collaborative culture that encourages creativity and innovation.
You’ll Need to Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 10+ years marketing experience within the luxury industry
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SAP, Fashion GPS
- Influential network within fashion, creative, and social circles
