Bilingual Immigration Attorney – Reno, Nevada
Full-Time, On-Site/Remote Position
The Law Offices of Karen S. Monrreal is looking for a Bilingual Immigration Attorney to join our passionate team in Reno, Nevada. This full-time role offers a hybrid schedule, combining both on-site and remote work. Our firm is dedicated to advocating for immigrants' rights and supporting survivors of gender-based violence. Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a highly motivated, client-centered attorney with the following qualities:
- Client-Centered Advocacy: Demonstrates compassion, listening skills, and a commitment to protecting clients' rights, especially survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
- Cultural Competency: Proficient in working with diverse, multilingual immigrant populations, adapting legal strategies to meet clients’ unique needs.
- Tenacity and Problem-Solving Skills: Able to handle complex, fast-paced immigration cases with a focus on delivering creative solutions for clients.
- Team-Oriented: While self-motivated, the candidate must excel in a collaborative environment, supporting paralegals and other team members as needed.
- Organized and Detail-Oriented: Strong time management skills to handle a high caseload and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality client service.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Provide direct representation in immigration matters, including family-based petitions, U and T visas, VAWA Petitions and removal defense.
- Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and administrative staff to ensure efficient case management.
- Engage in community outreach, attending public events, and representing the firm in media engagements.
- Work with external partners, including social service organizations, to address clients' needs beyond legal representation.
Qualifications
- Required: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school, Bar admission (good standing), bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish), and federal background check. • No Experience Required – Our team is willing to train
