Position: Removal Defense Attorney

We are seeking a full-time immigration attorney to join our removal defense team. You’ll represent immigrants in EOIR proceedings, bond hearings, and defensive applications for relief.

Key Responsibilities

Represent detained and non-detained clients before EOIR and in bond proceedings
Prepare and argue cancellation of removal, bond, and other defenses
Prep clients and appear virtually for master and individual hearings
Collaborate with paralegals and the intake team to manage a high-volume caseload
Review and supervise filings prepared by support staff
Conduct client consultations and provide high-touch service throughout the case

Qualifications

Licensed and in good standing in any U.S. state
(Preference for California, New Jersey, or New York – but not required)
Experience preferred (1–2 years) , but strong candidates with clinical immigration law experience during law school are encouraged to apply
Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred , but not required
Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Strong interpersonal and client communication skills
Tech-savvy, organized, and comfortable working in a fully remote environment
