Immigration Attorney — Remote Position

Location: Puerto Rico

Somos Asilos is seeking a dynamic, responsible, and dedicated Immigration Attorney to join our legal team. This is a remote position for an attorney who currently resides in Puerto Rico and is committed to providing high-quality legal representation to individuals and families navigating the United States immigration system.

The selected attorney will advise and represent clients in immigration matters before USCIS, EOIR, Immigration Courts, and other government agencies. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working with a growing organization dedicated to serving immigrant communities nationwide.

Responsibilities

Advise clients regarding immigration options, including asylum, adjustment of status, family-based petitions, employment authorization, naturalization, humanitarian relief, and removal defense.
review, and file immigration applications, petitions, motions, briefs, appeals, and supporting evidence.
Represent clients before Immigration Courts, EOIR, USCIS, and other federal immigration agencies.
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
Active license and good standing with a United States state or territorial bar.
Must currently reside in Puerto Rico.
Ability to work remotely and maintain reliable internet, telephone, and video-conferencing access.
Experience in immigration law, particularly asylum, removal defense, family-based immigration, humanitarian relief, and USCIS filings.
Experience appearing before Immigration Courts and federal immigration agencies is strongly preferred.
Fluency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.Position Details
