Position Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and dedicated Associate Immigration Attorney with 2–5 years of experience to join our Amityville team. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload, represent clients in court, supervise legal support staff, and contribute to the firm’s mission of delivering high-quality, ethical, and effective legal services.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent clients in immigration court and USCIS interviews.
Manage cases from intake to resolution, including filings, hearings, and client communication.
Supervise and direct the work of the legal secretary, including scheduling, document preparation, and file maintenance.
Maintain the office calendar, track deadlines, and ensure timely case progression.
Communicate with clients, courts, and agencies in a clear and professional manner.
Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and supporting documents.
Coordinate and review client intake, assess case merit, and ensure complete documentation.
Assist with improving internal processes and contributing to a collaborative work culture.
Scheduling appointments and court dates.
Preparing USCIS forms and legal correspondence.
Organizing and maintaining case files (digital and hard copy).
Managing client communications and documentation.
Ensuring deadlines are met and follow-ups are completed.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school.
New York State Bar admission.
2–5 years of experience in immigration law preferred.
Excellent legal writing and communication skills.
Strong organizational and supervisory abilities.
Bilingual proficiency (Spanish or other language) is a plus.
Must reside within a commutable distance from Amityville, NY.
