A small immigration law firm in Weston, Florida, is looking for a professional with writing experience to help with various research and drafting for our client’s cases. This is a drafting and research heavy position. Please note that the specific assignments do not require legal writing, nor legal training.
Ideal candidate will be able to:
- Perform research and analysis on submitted evidence, client backgrounds, different professions and industries, keep apprised of current events and trends in government and private sector, and otherwise have a drive to learn new things and be able to absorb and analyze this information toward supporting an argument’s petition for immigration.
- Compile and organize this evidence and research into a form ready to use as evidence that supports our client’s application and effectively argue their case for immigrating to the U.S.
- Utilize research, client documents, and case strategy to draft/write documents, which will efficiently and effectively present their case to immigration authorities, utilizing a combination of formal logic and free-flowing creativity that will persuade administrative officers of the strengths and qualifications of clients.
- Work as part of a team that supports each other and works on different projects for different clients, always being responsive and being able to effectively communicate across the organization, and being able to multi-task and adjust to demands.
A writing sample will be required during the interview process. One can be sent with application. Please keep under 10 pages.
