Overview
The Law Office of Tae K. Song in Duluth, Georgia, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Korean-English bilingual Immigration Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team supporting our employment-based immigration practice, with a focus on PERM case preparation, processing, and case management. This role involves assisting attorneys in preparing and filing immigration applications, conducting legal research, and managing case files efficiently within a fast-paced law office environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative and project management skills, with a focus on providing exceptional support in immigration law matters. No prior immigration or paralegal experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with preparing and filing immigration petitions and applications.
- Conduct thorough legal research related to immigration laws and regulations.
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Transcribe legal documents and correspondence as needed.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and documentation for their cases.
- Manage project timelines effectively to ensure timely submission of applications.
- Provide clerical support, including scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars.
- Communicate with government agencies regarding case status and updates.
Qualifications
PROFICIENCY IN ENGLISH AND KOREAN REQUIRED
- Experience as a paralegal, preferably in immigration law or related fields such as family law or securities law. (Not required but a plus)
- Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in legal research methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with file management systems used in a law office setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
