Immigration Paralegal III – Business Immigration

Our client, a leading labor and employment law firm, is seeking an experienced
Immigration Paralegal III to join its Business Immigration practice. This position is ideal for an experienced immigration professional with extensive knowledge of employment-based immigration matters and at least
5 years of experience working in a fast-paced business immigration environment.
The Immigration Paralegal III will work closely with attorneys and clients to manage complex immigration matters, prepare petitions and applications, respond to government requests, and ensure cases move efficiently through each stage of the immigration process.
This individual will join a collaborative and well-organized Immigration Department with dedicated secretarial and clerical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage employment-based immigration petitions and applications, including H-1B, L-1, TN, and PERM matters.
- Prepare documentation and supporting materials for a variety of complex business immigration cases.
- Draft and prepare comprehensive Requests for Evidence (RFE) responses.
- Prepare and coordinate PERM audit responses and supporting documentation.
- Manage immigration cases from initiation through completion while ensuring deadlines and filing requirements are met.
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status, documentation requirements, deadlines, and next steps.
- Work closely with attorneys to gather information, prepare filings, and ensure accurate and timely case submissions.
- Review immigration documents and filings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Maintain organized electronic case files and documentation within INSZoom or other immigration/document management systems.
- Prioritize a high-volume caseload while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and client service.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and other members of the Immigration Department.
- Provide professional and responsive service to both internal and external clients.
Requirements
- 5+ years of business immigration experience REQUIRED, preferably within a large law firm environment.
- Extensive experience preparing H-1B, L-1, TN, and PERM applications and petitions.
- Strong knowledge of complex employment-based immigration processes and procedures.
- Significant experience preparing RFE responses and PERM audit responses.
- Strong case management, prioritization, organizational, and client service skills.
- Excellent business writing and written communication abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned matters, and follow cases through completion.
- Strong ability to collaborate within a team-oriented legal environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Experience with INSZoom or a comparable immigration/document management system.
- Professional demeanor with the flexibility and adaptability necessary to succeed in a fast-paced law firm environment.
