This is a full-time, in-person role designed for an attorney who is passionate about immigration law, excited by high-growth startups, and eager to leverage modern tools to scale exceptional legal services.
Key Responsibilities- High-Velocity Execution: Autonomously manage, review, and file a substantial pipeline of complex O-1A, EB-1A, and NIW cases. You will focus on guiding case strategy, fine-tuning legal arguments, and ensuring precision with minimal oversight.
- Comprehensive Case Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of supporting nonimmigrant and permanent residence filings, including Adjustment of Status (Form I-485) and concurrent filings, H-1B, L-1, and consular processing.
- Direct Client Leadership: Serve as the frontline point of contact for demanding startup founders and executives, delivering prompt, clear, and reassuring counsel under tight timelines.
- Creative Problem Solving: Tackle challenging profiles and nuanced Requests for Evidence (RFEs) by finding creative evidentiary angles, structuring the legal strategy, and building persuasive arguments.
- Process Optimization: Continuously collaborate with our team to refine how we leverage new tools and efficient workflows, maximizing drafting throughput while maintaining elite analytical rigor and petition quality.
Qualifications- Education & Licensure: J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with any U.S. State Bar (California preferred).
- Experience:
- Associate: 2–4 years of dedicated business immigration experience.
- Senior Associate: 7+ years of dedicated business immigration experience, with a proven track record of successful O-1A, EB-1A, and NIW filings.
- High Engine & Work Ethic: A proven track record of managing heavy caseloads successfully while maintaining high standards of quality and detail.
- Solution-Oriented Mindset: A proactive, "figure-it-out" attitude when faced with novel legal issues, tight deadlines, or difficult client questions.
- Exceptional Interpersonal Presence: High emotional intelligence, confidence, and a warm, positive attitude that puts anxious clients at ease.
- Bias for Action: Self-directed and eager to take full ownership of files from initial intake through final adjudication.
- Tech-Forward Mindset: A genuine enthusiasm for modern technology, including a willingness to seamlessly integrate with, and help optimize, emerging AI-powered legal software that handles our heavy drafting.
