Role Description This full-time, on-site Immigration Paralegal role is based in El Paso, TX. The Immigration Paralegal will support attorneys by preparing and organizing immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documentation for visas, residency, and other immigration benefits. Daily responsibilities include client intake, gathering and reviewing evidence, maintaining case files, and tracking deadlines with attention to detail. The role also involves communicating with clients about case status, scheduling appointments, and coordinating signatures and filings with government agencies. The Immigration Paralegal will collaborate with attorneys and administrative staff to ensure timely, accurate case processing and a positive client experience.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge in law and immigration law, with the ability to apply legal concepts to real-world client situations.
- Experience handling immigration issues and visas, including familiarity with common immigration processes and government forms.
- Proficiency in legal document preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and organizing petitions, applications, and supporting materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish required.
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
- Comfort working directly with clients in a professional, empathetic, and culturally sensitive manner.
- Proficiency with office software and case management systems; ability to learn new tools quickly.
- Prior experience as an immigration paralegal, legal assistant, or in a law firm setting preferred; relevant education or paralegal certification is a plus.
