Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Business Immigration Paralegal, you will:
- Casework:
- Prepare, file, and track applications filed with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, including employment-based Green Cards, PERM, O-1, H-1B, L-1A/B, E-2, EB-1A/B/C, and EB2 National Interest Waivers, and other complex petitions.
- Assist clients with non-immigrant and immigrant visa issues, including employment-based sponsorships and green card processes.
- Prepare responses to RFEs and PERM RFI’s, and other case challenges.
- Leadership :
- Manage the workflow of your cases, including monitoring progress, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on paralegal case drafts.
- Mentor paralegal staff, ensuring excellent team coverage and performance.
- Process Improvement:
- Contribute to efficient process improvements for visa documentation coordination and filing procedures.
- Act as the go-to expert for immigration filing procedures, compliance processes, and client queries.
- Client Relations:
- Maintain communication with clients, providing updates and guiding them through the immigration process.
- Maintain accurate and organized client files.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven expertise: Minimum 5 years of business immigration experience, including handling employment-based Green Cards, PERM, O-1, H-1B, L-1A/B, E-2, EB-1A/B/C, and EB2 National Interest Waivers and other high-level cases.
- Case Management experience: Demonstrated ability to manage your cases independently. We do not want to micromanage you.
- Process management skills: Strong aptitude for creating and overseeing efficient workflows.
- Exceptional organizational skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Communication excellence: Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Tech-savviness: Experience with Clio, Lawmatics, and INSZoom is a plus.
- Language skills: Fluency in Spanish is a significant advantage but not required.
- Educational background: Associate degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
