We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Immigration Attorney to join an established law practice serving clients across Northwest Arkansas. This position offers the opportunity to step into an active caseload and assist individuals and families navigating complex immigration matters.
About the Role
The ideal candidate is client-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling a variety of immigration cases. This role involves direct client interaction, case strategy, and advocacy throughout all stages of the immigration process.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in immigration matters before USCIS, Immigration Court, and other agencies
- Provide legal guidance and develop case strategy for clients
- Attend hearings, interviews, and court proceedings
- Communicate with clients regarding case progress, options, and expectations
- Collaborate with legal staff to ensure efficient case handling
Types of Cases Handled
- Family-based petitions (I-130, adjustment of status, consular processing)
- Removal defense and deportation proceedings
- Asylum applications
- Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) cases
- VAWA petitions
- U visas and other humanitarian relief
- DACA and related filings
- Work permits and travel documents
Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing with the Arkansas Bar (or ability to become licensed)
- Experience in immigration law preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Criminal defense experience is a plus
