Position Overview
Planzer Law LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Bilingual Immigration Paralegal to support our practice. This role involves managing a high-volume caseload, preparing applications, and maintaining consistent client communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Management
- Maintain organized physical and electronic case files
- Tracking deadlines and managing case progress through USCIS, EOIR, NVC and other legal case management systems
- Drafting client correspondence and managing scheduling of case-related appointments or upcoming hearings
- Coordinating or conducting certified translations, interpreters and filings
USCIS Application Preparation
- Prepare and file immigration applications, not limited to, but including:
- Adjustment of Status: I-130, I-130A, I-485, I-765, I-131, I-864
- Waivers: I-601A and I-212s
- U Visas: I-918 and supplements
- SIJS: I-360s
- Compiling supporting evidence, including bona fide marriage packets and hardship documentation
- Assisting with DS-260 applications and NVC Submissions
EOIR Removal Defense Preparation
- Preparing and filing applications for relief before the Immigration Court (e.g. asylum, cancellation, waivers)
- Drafting and organizing complete exhibit packets, including indexing, pagination, and tabbing in compliance with court requirements
- Assisting attorneys with client declarations and supporting affidavits
- Assisting attorneys with managing EOIR filings via ECAS/Portal, including motions, evidence submissions and updates
- Assisting attorneys with tracking individual hearing deadlines, biometrics requirements, and filing windows
- Assisting attorneys and clients with Master Calendar and Individual Hearing Prep
- Providing technical and logistical support for virtual hearings (Webex/EOIR Platform)
Client Support
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients
- Collect documents, provide case updates, and explain next steps (under attorney supervision)
- Supporting Attorneys with preparing clients for USCIS interviews and court appearances.
- Handling sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy
- Documenting all communications in case management systems
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient workflow
- Follow directions from supervisors and escalate urgent issues when needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of immigration law experience (preferred)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with competing deadlines
- High attention to detail and sound judgement
Technology
- Experience with Docketwise, myUSCIS, EOIR Portal (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe (required)

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
