Roach & Bishop Law Offices seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Immigration Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support complex immigration cases, streamline legal processes, and contribute to the success of our clients’ global mobility strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, exceptional research abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of immigration law, along with experience in preparing various types of employment-based visas (H1B, TN, etc) and green card processes (PERM, NIW). This paid position provides a collaborative environment where your expertise will make a meaningful impact on clients navigating international employment and visa processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorney with preparing and filing immigration petitions, applications, and related documentation for work visas, green cards, and other immigration statuses
- Conduct legal research using various research tools to support case strategies and compliance requirements
- Manage case files efficiently using document management systems such as eImmigration and Tabs, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Draft legal documents, correspondence, and reports with precision while proofreading for accuracy and clarity
- Coordinate communication with clients, government agencies, and external stakeholders through professional phone etiquette and timely updates
- Review legal documents including contracts, affidavits, and supporting evidence to ensure completeness and adherence to procedural standards
- Support attorney with project management tasks related to immigration cases while maintaining organized workflows
Requirements
- Paralegal experience in immigration law is highly desired; familiarity with employment-based visa processes is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of legal administrative practices including document review, data entry, filing procedures, and case management systems
- Proficiency in legal research platforms; experience with eImmigration and Tabs is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong writing skills for drafting clear legal correspondence and reports; proofreading and transcription skills are essential
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal skills including interviewing techniques for client intake sessions and professional phone etiquette
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
