Humanitarian Immigration Specialist (Onsite – 3 Days/Week in Cupertino)
Location/Details: Silicon Valley, CA (Onsite with Client 3 days/week, 2 days WFH)
About The Role
Fragomen is seeking a Humanitarian Immigration Specialist to be placed onsite with a major Silicon Valley technology company.
This unique opportunity allows you to support a high‑visibility humanitarian immigration program while working closely with the client’s HR, legal and Mobility teams.
In this role, you will leverage your knowledge of U.S. humanitarian immigration pathways to engage directly with the company’s humanitarian population, drive targeted outreach efforts, and analyze program data to provide meaningful updates and recommendations to the client.
You’ll join a team passionate about immigration, client service, and mission-driven work - supported by Fragomen’s training, technology, and global network.
Key Responsibilities
Humanitarian Program Support
- Serve as the client’s onsite Humanitarian Immigration Specialist SME three days per week.
- Conduct outreach to humanitarian beneficiaries to ensure understanding of available pathways, timelines, and documentation requirements.
- Provide guidance on humanitarian immigration processes, ensuring accuracy and sensitivity to individual circumstances.
Data & Reporting
- Track and analyze outreach and engagement metrics, identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities.
- Prepare clear, concise updates and reports for the client’s Human Resources team on program effectiveness and outreach outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records using the client’s and Fragomen’s data management systems.
Operational Coordination
- Organize, maintain, and file legal documents and supporting materials.
- Collaborate with Fragomen teams to ensure procedural compliance and alignment with firm standards.
- Respond to internal and external communications with professionalism and timely follow‑through.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree, Paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience in a client-service environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of U.S. humanitarian immigration pathways (e.g., TPS, asylum, parole-based programs).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex immigration concepts clearly.
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced setting.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and comfort working in multiple data systems.
- A collaborative, client-service mindset with discretion and cultural sensitivity.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role reflects a variety of factors considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, work location, work arrangement, licensure and certifications, and applicable laws. Placement within the range will vary based on these factors, and compensation decisions are made to ensure internal equity and alignment with market data.
A reasonable and good-faith estimate of the current salary range for individuals able to work a hybrid schedule in the office locally is:
$75,000.00 - $89,000.00
