Dagen is recruiting a Human Resources Immigration Specialist for a growing LNG company downtown.
This is an in-office position.
This person will report to our Lead, Human Resources Analyst and work directly with our HR Business Partners. The ideal candidate will have experience with employment-based immigration laws in a high growth environment with a focus on developing effective relationships and partnerships with business partners at all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the Immigration process from start to finish.
- Assess and review visa sponsorship requirements.
- Submit initiations for Visa sponsorship applications to Immigration attorneys.
- Liaise with Human Resources teams to gather necessary information and ensure timely processing of sponsorship requests.
- Maintain accurate records of all applications, communications, and documentation related to the Visa sponsorship process.
- Provide guidance to employees, managers and other internal business partners regarding Visa options, requirements and timelines.
- Communicate with candidates to provide status updates and address any inquiries or concerns.
- Collaborate with Immigration attorneys to resolve complex immigration issues.
- Provide excellent customer service to employees and other stakeholders involved in the visa application process.
- Ability to develop effective relationships and partnerships with HR team and business partners at all levels of the organization.
- Assist in training staff on immigration policies and procedures as needed.
- Strategically develop and drive HR projects to achieve initiatives aligned with business objectives, ensuring optimal performance and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic oversight and administrative support, ensuring effective day-to-day operations.
- Provide back up support with data analytics by manipulating data, creating charts, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Provide back up support with onboarding and orientation process for new employees.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 year’s experience in Employment Based Immigration Laws (U.S and International).
- Strong knowledge of Visa sponsorship processes and Immigration regulations including F-1, TN, E-3, H-1B visas, PERM).
- Strong understanding of general Human Resources policies, procedures, labor laws and regulations.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven ability to use and navigate HRIS for reporting and HR requests preferably experience using Workday.
