Overview
The Immigration Case Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing part of the legal team, consisting of a group of paralegals, to ensure the efficient handling of immigration cases. This role requires an experienced individual with a strong background in Family, Naturalization, Consular Processing, Waivers, USCIS Benefits, Humanitarian, Affirmative Asylums, Non-Removal or experience with removal and deportation cases is a plus.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Team Management: Supervise and support the litigation team, including paralegals, to ensure effective case management and teamwork.
- Case Follow-up: Monitor the progress of immigration cases, ensuring timely updates and follow-ups.
- Report Creation: Prepare and maintain detailed reports on case statuses, outcomes, and team performance.
- Legal Documentation: Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents such as motions, court filings, and applications for asylum or adjustment of status.
- Court Representation: Coordinate and attend hearings, EOIR proceedings, and court sessions as needed.
- Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and gather necessary information for their cases.
- Compliance: Ensure all case handling adheres to legal standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Training and Development: Provide training and support to paralegals to enhance their skills and knowledge in immigration law.
- Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders to develop case strategies and ensure successful case outcomes.
Qualifications
- Education: A degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Proven over five years of experience in immigration law, particularly in areas of immigration.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Proficiency in legal research and documentation.
- Language: Bilingual or multilingual abilities, English and Spanish.
- Certifications: Paralegal certification or legal assistant credentials are beneficial.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
