Business Immigration Legal Assistant (H-2B Focus – Remote)

KW Immigration Law is a full-service, female-owned immigration law firm dedicated to helping individuals, families, and businesses navigate the U.S. immigration system with compassion, transparency, and diligence. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Business Immigration Legal Assistant to support our team in handling H-2B visa filings and other employment-based immigration cases.

Position Overview:
In this role, you will provide remote legal and administrative support to our Managing Attorney, focusing on business immigration matters—including temporary labor certifications and nonimmigrant visa petitions. You will work closely with employers, recruiters, and foreign national workers to ensure cases are filed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with preparing and organizing H-2B visa applications, including drafting ETA 9141 and ETA 9142B forms, recruitment documentation, and USCIS petition packets.
Track and manage deadlines across the temporary labor certification and visa filing process.
Draft support letters, checklists, and template documents for attorney review.
Maintain ongoing communication with clients to complete case intake, gather supporting documents, and follow up on outstanding items.
Organize and maintain accurate electronic case files using our document management system.
Assist with the preparation of other employment-based immigration cases, such as H-1B, TN, L-1, or PERM-based green card filings, as needed.
Respond to client inquiries regarding case status, timelines, and next steps.
Coordinate with recruiters, HR professionals, and foreign workers to ensure timely collection of documentation and signatures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Prior experience supporting immigration cases, especially H-2B or other employment-based petitions, strongly preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
Familiarity with immigration law terminology and DOL/USCIS filing processes.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work efficiently in a remote environment.
Experience with immigration case management or document systems (e.g., Clio, LawLogix, INSZoom) a plus.
Spanish proficiency is helpful but not required.

Position Details:

Status: Remote, part-time to start with opportunity for growth.
Schedule: Flexible, with some availability during standard business hours preferred.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
