About the Firm:
Our new, fast-growing firm is looking to hire an Associate Attorney. This role will immediately deal with high responsibility and high impact work as many of our clients are directly impacted by recent and ongoing changes in immigration policy.
We are a women-owned and mission-driven immigration law firm located in the heart of Miami, Florida. Our practice is rooted in a deep commitment to helping individuals, families, and businesses navigate the complexities of U.S. immigration law. We handle a broad range of immigration matters, from high-stakes removal defense to business-based petitions and humanitarian relief.
We are currently seeking a bilingual Associate Attorney with 2–3 years of immigration law experience who thrives in a collaborative, high-pressure environment and is passionate about making a meaningful impact through legal advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in removal proceedings, including appearances before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals
- Prepare and file applications for family-based immigration, employment-based petitions, humanitarian relief (asylum, VAWA, U visas, TPS, etc.), and naturalization
- Prepare, file, and defend federal court lawsuits (writs of mandamus, writs of habeas, APA claims, petitions for review, etc.)
- Draft legal briefs, motions, and memoranda for various immigration matters
- Conduct legal research and develop strategies for complex cases
- Maintain regular communication with clients and provide timely updates on case developments
- Participate in client consultations and strategy sessions
Minimum Qualifications:
- J.D. or LL.M. from an U.S. accredited law school and admission to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction (Florida bar preferred but not required)
- 2–3 years of experience practicing immigration law, with exposure to a range of cases including removal defense, family-based immigration, and employment-based immigration
- Fluency in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking) is required
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Excellent legal research and writing skills with a keen attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-centered approach
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience appearing in immigration court and handling complex removal cases
- Familiarity with USCIS, EOIR, and other government agency procedures
