Job Overview
Law firm with particular emphasis in immigration law in Brooklyn, NY (South Brooklyn) is seeking an immigration paralegal with a minimum of 2 to 3 years experience with asylum applications (both affirmative and defensive). Applicants must have strong writing and research skills as preparation of affidavits are required.

Responsibilities

Job duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

Preparing and filing a variety of immigration forms, including USCIS forms such as AOS, I-130, I-485, DACA, TPS, I-589, 42b, and others
Meeting with clients about their case and answering calls pertaining to the cases you are working on
Preparation of affidavits in support of the case (asylum affidavit, witness/supporting affidavits, etc.)
Assisting in case preparation for trial hearings and hearings before EOIR
Familiarity with EOIR and ICE E-service systems a plus
