Job Description
The Finance Shared Services Center Financial Specialist III will assist the team Manager in overseeing and supporting the day-to-day operations of the finance shared services team, ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely delivery of financial services. This role combines hands-on accounting tasks with team coordination, workload monitoring, and process improvement efforts to uphold financial integrity and support smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the shared services center, ensuring the timely processing of financial transactions.
- Ensure financial processes align with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify, monitor, and escalate any operational issues affecting the finance department.
- Step in when necessary to support the team in meeting deadlines.
Accounts Payable, Receivable & General Ledger:
- Monitor the team’s processing of invoices, payments, and journal entries for accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee account reconciliations and month-end close activities, providing support when needed.
Reconciliation & Financial Reporting:
- Supervise reconciliations and reporting deliverables to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation as required.
Audit & Compliance:
- Lead audit readiness efforts and monitor compliance with internal controls and regulations.
- Guide the team on policy adherence and assist in resolving compliance issues.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and external vendors regarding finance services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, HR, OGC, Marketing) to ensure seamless operations.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and third-party service providers as necessary.
Process Improvement & Efficiency:
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives within the shared services team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA/CMA preferred.
- At least 4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or shared services.
- Strong experience in managing full set of accounts, with in-depth knowledge of financial systems, accounting principles, and regulatory standards.
- Experience in leading teams or projects and contributing to process improvements.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Mandarin or Japan language capability is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is advantageous.
- Adaptable and responsive to evolving business needs.

- Occasional overtime during peak periods (e.g., month-end, year-end).
