The Washington, DC office of our client, an international law firm is seeking an experience immigration professional to support their global mobility and migration practice. Qualified applicants will have familiarity with visa and passport processes, specifically focused global experiences such as consular processing and document legalization/authentication. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, is also required.

Qualified applicants will have

Assist in preparing US employment-based, non-immigrant visa filings to US Department of Labor, US Citizenship and Immigration Services, US Department of State and US Customs and Border Protection
Compile immigration eligibility documents and analyze individuals’ potential immigration benefits, including H-1B, E-3, L-1, TN, E-1/E-2 and O-1 visa processing
Communicate clearly and effectively, based on attorney advice, on immigration benefits, government procedures and case processing time lines
Meticulously track and report on visa expiration dates and filing deadlines
Maintain client files online and offline
Respond to immigration inquiries in a timely manner and adhering to submission deadlines
Possibly assist with drafting PERM Labor Certification advertisement text, prevailing wage requests, and recruitment documents, and preparing PERM applications and compliance files, meticulously tracking timelines of each step along the PERM case lifecycle
Other duties as requested by attorneys and manager

This is an immediate need starting asap with a duration up to four months. The role requires two or three days/week on site at the firm's Washington, DC office. Hourly pay rate will be determined based on experience, the range quoted is wide to allow for candidates with one to thirty years of experience to apply.
