Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Immigration Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys with various immigration cases, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and compliant with legal standards. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing and filing immigration applications and petitions.
- Conduct thorough research on immigration laws and regulations to support casework.
- Draft legal documents, including briefs, motions, and correspondence related to immigration matters.
- Proofread documents for accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Manage case files using document management systems.
- Provide executive administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars.
- Maintain organized records of all case-related documents and communications.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and documentation for their cases.
- Support project management efforts by tracking deadlines and ensuring timely submissions of applications.
Requirements
- Paralegal certificate or Bachelor’s degree.
- 3+ years’ experience in U.S. immigration law (family-based, employment-based, waivers, naturalization, removal defense).
- Strong skills in legal drafting and document management systems.
- Excellent proofreading abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in conducting legal research using various resources.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues..
