Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in deportation defense proceedings, including hearings before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) and Immigration Court.
- Provide expert legal counsel on business immigration matters, including H-1B visas, employment-based green cards, and other employment-related immigration issues.
- Prepare and file applications, petitions, and other legal documents with USCIS, Department of State, and other relevant agencies.
- Develop and implement strategies for complex immigration cases, including appeals and motions to reopen.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in immigration law and policy to provide accurate and timely advice to clients.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and client representation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of legal processes and potential outcomes.
***Experience with the preparation and filing of immigration applications and petitions with government agencies. Draft, review, and file legal documents, legal research, travel to visit detained clients, court hearings. Experience with Removal/deportation Defense, Asylum, U Visas and Family based petitions, DACA, Permanent Residencies, Naturalization and Consular Processing, Cancellation of Removal, FOIA's, Bond Packets, Asylum Applications, Adjustment of Status Forms, Motions.
Requirements: The ideal candidate must be able to manage complex tasks efficiently; prioritize workload in extremely time-sensitive field of law; meet strict deadlines; be extremely detail oriented and have the ability to edit carefully; provide outstanding service to the families we serve; be flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced changing environment; organized; self-motivated with strong initiative; have a positive attitude; have a professional demeanor in appearance and manner. An ideal candidate will be energetic, quick learner, self-starter, knowledge of immigration law (family, deportation defense and business).
