Summary
We are seeking a temporary Contract Immigration Paralegal to join our team at Carney & Marchi. In this role, you will assist attorneys in preparing family based immigration applications as well as U visa applications. There may be other visas as well, such as asylum applications.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with the preparation and filing of family-based and U visa immigration petitions and applications.
- Work with Clio case management system
- Calendar reminders and status checks on cases
- Maintain organized case files.
- Translate legal documents and correspondence as needed.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on their cases.
Requirements
- Must have at least two years of experience handling family-based immigration cases.
- Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong proofreading skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS 365 - Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Experience with case management software
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Work Location: Remote
