Position Overview:
Seeking a detail-oriented professional to prepare, file, and manage a wide range of immigration applications and petitions with U.S. federal agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Department of State (DOS), and Department of Labor (DOL).

Key Responsibilities:

Case Management & Compliance:

Manage a tickler system/database to track deadlines and ensure timely filing of extensions, petitions, and applications.
Demonstrate expertise in U.S. immigration regulations, including the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA, formerly NAFTA), and procedures of DHS, DOS, DOL, and related agencies.

Application Preparation & Filing:

Draft, review, and submit a variety of nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions, including but not limited to:
Employment-Based: H-1B, H-3, L-1A/L-1B, Blanket L, TN (USMCA), E Visa, PERM Labor Certification, and Immigrant Petitions (e.g., I-140).
Family-Based: Adjustment of Status (I-485), Consular Processing, Fiancé(e) Visa, and Waiver Applications (e.g., I-601/602).
Compliance & Appeals: Responses to Requests for Evidence (RFE), appeals for denied cases (e.g., I-290B), and Nonimmigrant Visa Applications (DS-160).
Status Adjustments: Naturalization (N-400), Green Card renewals (I-90), and H-4 dependent applications.

Documentation & Support:

Collect, organize, and prepare supporting documentation (e.g., affidavits, employer letters, financial records).
Research processes for obtaining foreign documents (birth certificates, police/military records) and guide clients through certification/authentication.
Coordinate translations of non-English documents and evaluations of foreign academic credentials.

Collaboration & Client Service:

Liaise with government agencies, clients, and internal teams to ensure accurate and efficient case progression.
Advise clients on procedural requirements and troubleshoot challenges related to immigration processes.

Qualifications:

In-depth knowledge of U.S. immigration law, USCIS/DOL/DOS protocols, and visa categories.
Proficiency with case management software and database systems.
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage high-volume deadlines.
Excellent written communication skills for drafting petitions, RFE responses, and legal correspondence.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in legal studies, international relations, or related field preferred.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) and USCIS online systems.
Multilingual capabilities (Spanish or other languages) a plus.

Pay: $58,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
