Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis for immigration cases
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and applications
- Represent clients in federal administrative proceedings before USCIS and EOIR
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Collaborate with senior attorney on complex cases
- Maintain accurate and organized case files
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the practice area
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Proficient in legal research tools and software
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal procedures
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for practicing family-based immigration law, VAWA, U visas and/or removal defense. This position is responsible for prospective client consultations, representing clients before USCIS (Chicago and Milwaukee Field Offices), EOIR, BIA and DOS, and managing cases as assigned.
