The Law Office of Rosina C. Stambaugh is seeking experienced Paralegals to join our firm. Responsibilities:
· Provide exceptional paralegal support to attorneys and legal team in immigration law matters.
· Conduct client intake interviews in both English and Spanish to gather relevant information for case preparation.
· Assist in preparing and filing immigration forms, applications, and supporting documentation with attention to detail and adherence to established procedures.
· Perform research on immigrations laws, regulations, and procedures to support case preparation and legal arguments.
· Maintain accurate and organized client files, ensuring that all relevant documents and correspondence are properly stored and easily accessible.
· Coordinate and schedule appointments, court appearances, and meetings with clients, attorneys, and government agencies.
· Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on case progress and answering inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
· Assist in translation and interpretation tasks as needed during meetings, hearings, and interviews.
· Stay up to date with changes in immigrations laws, regulations, and procedures, and communicate relevant updates to the legal team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certificate
- Experience with Immigration Law (removal defense)
- Fluency in both English and Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Proven experience as a paralegal, preferably in the field of immigration law.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or a paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and case management.
- Proficiency in legal research and familiarity with legal databases and resources.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficient in using computer applications and legal software for document management and research purposes.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and self-motivated nature.
- Knowledge of immigration laws, regulations, and procedures is preferred.
Benefits: Full time Salary based on experience with a bonus structure. Availability of additional hours.
