This is a hybrid role and would provide support for attorneys in our Labor & Employment Practice Group. Our Immigration Paralegals partner with attorneys by assisting with legal research, filing petitions and applications, and preparing other legal documents. This position is ideal for an experienced Immigration Paralegal who enjoys contributing independently and working with a team.
Immigration Paralegal Responsibilities:
- Draft letters for complex work visas and respond to government requests.
- Proactively communicate with clients to answer questions and provide status updates,
- Prepare nonimmigrant petitions and applications, including but not limited to H-1B, L-1, O-1.
- Independently prepare immigrant cases, such as EB-1 Extraordinary Ability and Outstanding Researcher, EB-2 National Interest Waiver petitions, and PERM labor certification.
- Review documentation to determine facts and information.
- Compile and analyze case facts, draft correspondence, maintain and organize client documentation.
- Draft RFEs for filings with the USCIS.
- Record and store client information in an electronic filing system.
Immigration Paralegal Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in immigration including visa preparation and filing in a law firm.
- Experience writing narratives to successfully obtain petition approvals.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must exercise the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
- Detail oriented and highly organized.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving and good judgement.

The pay range for this position is $80,500 - $114,500. The pay range provided is in compliance with state, city, or local employment laws and applies to this location only. Actual pay for this position will be determined based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, current market data, and business needs.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position or sit for prolonged periods and repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
