About the Role

We are seeking a driven, knowledgeable, and tech-savvy Immigration Attorney with 4–10 years of experience to join our growing team. You will work at the intersection of immigration law and technology—guiding clients through complex cases and collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to help shape the next generation of AI-powered legal solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Advise and represent clients on a range of immigration matters, including:
Employment-based visas (H-1B, L-1, TN, O, etc.)
Employment-based green cards (PERM, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, etc.)
Family-based green cards and related processes
Naturalization/citizenship applications
Adjustment of status, waivers, and related filings

Collaborate with our AI, product, and engineering teams to optimize legal workflows, improve product features, and deliver accurate, tech-enabled legal services.
Review and supervise the preparation of petitions and applications using AI-assisted drafting tools.
Serve as a subject-matter expert, staying up to date with evolving immigration regulations and best practices.
Provide guidance to paralegals, legal assistants, and junior attorneys as needed.
Engage in client consultations via phone, video, or chat, leveraging SkipLegal’s secure digital platform.
Participate in internal training, webinars, and thought leadership as we scale.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission (in good standing) in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
4–10 years of experience practicing U.S. immigration law, with significant exposure to both employment-based and family-based matters.
Strong knowledge of employment-based visas (H-1B, L-1, etc.), employment-based green cards, family-based immigration, and citizenship.
Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Comfort with technology—prior experience using immigration case management systems and an interest in AI/automation is strongly preferred.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and highly innovative environment.
Demonstrated commitment to client service, professionalism, and integrity.

Bonus / Preferred

Attorneys with a portable “book of business” or existing client relationships are strongly encouraged to apply. SkipLegal offers a competitive equity arrangement for attorneys who can bring and develop their own client base within the platform.
Attorneys without a portable book of business will start on an equity only compensation model.
