Immigration Paralegal - Silicon Path Law

About the Role

We are a fast-growing immigration law practice specializing in EB-1A extraordinary ability petitions. Our team works on behalf of highly accomplished professionals — researchers, engineers, scientists, and artists — helping them secure permanent residency in the United States.

We are seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal to take on a substantive role in case preparation, client communication, and petition quality. In this role, you will manage EB-1A cases with moderate independence, contribute to RFE/NOID strategy, and collaborate closely with attorneys and senior team members to deliver high-quality, timely work.

Key Responsibilities

Petition Drafting & Case Management

Draft, review, and revise EB-1A petition packages, including narratives, cover letters, and supporting documentation
Analyze case materials for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with USCIS evidentiary standards
Conduct salary analysis and compensation benchmarking to support extraordinary ability claims
Manage a caseload of petitions, tracking deadlines and ensuring timely filings
Coordinate with clients to gather documentation and guide them through the petition process

RFE/NOID Support

Analyze Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs) and contribute to response strategy
Draft RFE/NOID response packages with attorney and senior paralegal input
Track deadlines and ensure timely, organized submissions
Apply prior case knowledge and templates to strengthen responses

Letters of Recommendation (LOR)

Review and edit draft letters of recommendation for clarity, consistency, and strategic alignment
Work directly with clients and recommenders to refine letters as needed
Ensure LORs meet USCIS standards and support overall petition strength

Client Communication

Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients on routine and moderately complex matters
Lead or participate in client calls to collect information and provide updates
Maintain clear, professional, and responsive communication throughout the case lifecycle

Quality & Collaboration

Perform peer review of select petition components and provide constructive feedback
Identify common issues in case preparation and suggest process improvements
Collaborate with senior paralegals and attorneys on complex or high-stakes cases
Participate in team meetings, stand-ups, and knowledge-sharing initiatives

Case Management & Administration

Maintain accurate and organized case files in the firm’s case management system
Monitor deadlines and proactively flag risks or delays
Communicate effectively via Slack, email, and other remote tools

Qualifications

Required

2–4 years of experience in immigration law, with exposure to employment-based petitions (EB-1A, O-1, NIW, or similar)
Strong drafting skills with the ability to produce clear, persuasive legal documents
Experience supporting or contributing to RFE/NOID responses
Ability to manage multiple cases independently with strong attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client interaction
Proficiency with case management tools (Asana or similar) and remote work environments

Preferred

Familiarity with USCIS evidentiary standards for extraordinary ability petitions
Experience reviewing or providing feedback on others’ work
Experience conducting salary or compensation analysis
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; paralegal certificate a plus
