Actively seekinga Immigration Specialist for a CONTRACT (6-12 Months) & Hybrid Role. The position is fit for a candidate who has 3+ years of Immigration experience within a Law Firm or Professional Services organization.

HOURS: Monday – Friday, 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM EST

SCHEDULE | LOCATION: HYBRID | New York, NY

HOURLY RATE: $30 - 50/Hr. (Commensurate w/Years of Experience)

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree REQUIRED
3+ years of experience in an HR, legal, paralegal, or immigration services role
Experience within a law firm or professional services environment PREFERRED
Working knowledge of employment-based immigration processes (H-1B, TN, PERM, etc.).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems is REQUIRED
Experience with immigration tracking software is a PLUS
Prior experience working with or coordinating external immigration counsel.
Familiarity with I-9 compliance.
Experience supporting international hires in a corporate HR setting.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as the primary point of contact for immigration matters related to attorney and staff hires requiring visa sponsorship (H-1B, TN, L-1, O-1, etc.) and permanent residency (PERM, I-140, I-485).
Liaise with outside immigration counsel to facilitate petition filings, extensions, and adjustments of status.
Track and manage key immigration deadlines
Partner with HR Business Partners to advise on immigration timelines
Maintain accurate and confidential immigration records and documentation
Prepare internal immigration support letters, employment verification documents, and other relevant paperwork.
Assist employees with understanding immigration processes, timelines, and requirements.
Monitor changes in immigration laws and regulations
Collaborate with Payroll and Benefits teams on I-9 compliance
