Omar Welfare Association is a 501(c)(3) legal aid agency. The organization supports low-income families and individuals have access to affordable legal representation. We provide legal services for a variety of immigration matters.

Qualifications:

Licensed to practice in any state of the United States. Applicant must possess strong academic credentials, excellent research and writing skills, outstanding organizational skills, intercultural communication skills, and the ability to work independently and with a team.

Must be familiar with or can quickly learn how to use EOIR and USCIS online filing system.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing a wide variety of family-based, humanitarian-based, and employment-based immigration matters and deportation defense

Duties will include preparing appeals, motions, and petitions; and representing clients before the Immigration Court, U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services, U.S. Department of State, and other agencies.

Work hours will be 40 hours per week. Sponsorship for work visa may be provided if needed.
