About the Role:

As an Immigration / Deportation Defense Attorney at Musa-Obregon Law PC, you will:

Represent clients in deportation and removal proceedings before the Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis related to immigration law, including asylum, withholding of removal, cancellation of removal, and other forms of relief.
Prepare and file legal briefs, motions, and other documents with the immigration courts and agencies.
Represent clients at hearings and trials, advocating zealously on their behalf.
Advise clients on all aspects of immigration law, providing clear and compassionate guidance.
Manage a caseload effectively and efficiently, meeting deadlines and maintaining excellent communication with clients.
Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to provide comprehensive legal representation.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Bar of the State of New York or any of the 50 states & PR.
Minimum of TWO years of experience in immigration law, specifically in deportation defense.
Deep understanding of immigration law, policies, and procedures.
Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred.
Demonstrated commitment to social justice and immigrant rights.
