The ideal Immigration Paralegal has a previous legal background or extensive experience in auditing and customer service. This position handles cases related to immigration law and will require knowledge of immigration legal terminology and immigration case types; and generally have excellent interpersonal and relationship skills, professionalism, and sales.

Responsibilities

Report to the Office Manager
Review and draft routine legal documents
Intake of client forms
Data entry
Follow up with existing clients
Schedule appointments, deadlines, and court dates
Provide clients with case updates
Keep the database current as updates are received
Edit, compile, and submit prepared immigration application packets/documents.
Assist with drafting client documents under attorney supervision
Auditing packets/documents to ensure accuracy before being submitted

Requirements

Bachelor's degree.
Paralegal certification or immigration experience.
Two years of legal research experience.
Two years of experience in drafting legal and business documents.
Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills.
Ability to understand and interpret legal documents.
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Lexis-Nexis, PACER, Westlaw and other legal research sites.

Schedule

9:00 am- 5.00 pm, Monday- Friday.
