The Opportunity

The successful candidate will manage a high-volume immigration caseload involving business immigration, family immigration, adjustment of status, consular processing, PERM, immigrant petitions, nonimmigrant visas, RFEs, and related filings.

This role requires strong case ownership, careful deadline management, excellent writing, client-service skills, and a practical understanding of USCIS, DOL, DOS, and, for attorney candidates, EOIR/BIA procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

Independently manage immigration cases from intake through filing, including document collection, case analysis, forms, support letters, evidence preparation, filing packets, and deadline tracking.
Handle employment-based immigration matters, including H-1B, L-1, O-1, PERM, I-140, I-485, adjustment of status, consular processing, and related filings.
Handle family-based immigration matters, including family petitions, adjustment of status, consular processing, naturalization, and related applications.
Prepare complex support letters, employer letters, client declarations, filing summaries, evidence lists, and attorney-review-ready filing packages.
Draft responses to Requests for Evidence, Notices of Intent to Deny, rebuttals, motions, and other immigration filings.
Assess case facts to identify eligibility issues, filing strategy, inadmissibility concerns, timing risks, and documentation gaps.
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, employers, foreign nationals, families, and internal team members.
Explain immigration procedures, deadlines, document requirements, and case status clearly and professionally.
Maintain accurate case records, calendars, filing deadlines, data management systems, and client communications.
Monitor changes in immigration procedures and filing requirements to help ensure filings meet current regulatory standards.
Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, case managers, and administrative staff to deliver accurate, timely, and compassionate client service.

Qualifications

Required:

For senior case manager / senior paralegal candidates:

Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred.
Demonstrated high-level case ownership in a law firm or immigration practice.
Ability to prepare attorney-review-ready filings and manage client/document workflows independently.

Preferred:

Experience with H-1B, L-1, O-1, PERM, I-140, I-485, family-based petitions, naturalization, RFEs, NOIDs, motions, consular processing, and adjustment of status.
Experience with humanitarian immigration, VAWA, U visas, T visas, asylum, or removal defense.
Experience working with multinational companies, executives, managers, professionals, investors, students, and families.
Mandarin, Cantonese, Fujianese, Korean, or other language skills helpful for client service.
Experience using immigration case-management platforms and deadline systems.
