Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey LLP seeks an experienced Immigration Paralegal to join our team in our New Haven office. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petition preparation. Responsible for preparing H-1B, N-400, I-130, I-140 and I-485 petitions. PERM expertise preferred.

Candidates should possess strong oral and written communication skills, high attention to detail, excellent client-facing service, independent thinking, issue-spotting capabilities, and ability to work both independently and part of a close team.

This is an in-office, non-remote position. A Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate is required.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Assisting attorneys in drafting immigration forms in connection with preparing/submitting petitions to relevant government agencies
Ensuring compliance with relevant immigration regulations
Tracking case deadlines and processing times
Interfacing with clients and managing client documents
Providing general case management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37.50 per hour
