Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal (Independent Contractor) specializing in EB1/EB2 visa petitions to join our team. This role involves supporting attorneys in the preparation and submission of immigration applications, petitions, and supporting documents, ensuring adherence to legal standards and deadlines. The ideal candidate will bring a high level of organization, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and file EB1/EB2 immigration petitions and other supporting documents.
Conduct comprehensive document reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
Perform data entry and case management tasks using relevant systems and tools.
Assist in the legal drafting of petitions, supporting statements, briefs, and motions.
Research immigration laws, regulations, and policies specific to employment-based categories as needed.
Maintain organized and up-to-date records for active cases.
Communicate professionally with clients regarding case progress, document requirements, and timelines.
Collaborate with attorneys to develop case strategies and prepare for interviews or hearings.
Provide administrative support to ensure efficient case processing and office operations.

Requirements

Proven experience as a paralegal or similar role, with a strong preference for expertise in EB1/EB2 immigration law.
Demonstrated knowledge of the immigration petition process, including understanding of legal standards for exceptional ability, national interest waivers, and related criteria.
Strong legal drafting and document review skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
Familiarity with iManage or similar document management systems (preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
Outstanding research and analytical skills to interpret complex legal information.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and client-focused demeanor.
Ability to work independently and manage workload as a contractor while maintaining effective communication with the team.
