Job title: Immigration layer

Nature: Full-time permanent

Wage: $130,000.00 per year

Work hours: Monday-Friday, 35 hours/week

Address: 900 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90015

Vacation: 2 weeks of paid vacation per annum or remuneration of 4% of basic salary

Duties and Responsibilities:

l Consult clients with the most suitable immigration pathways

l Provide legal advice and representation to clients on various immigration matters, including visas, green cards, citizenship, and deportation defense.

l Conduct thorough legal research and stay updated on changes in immigration laws and policies.

l Assessment potential clients and provide immigration advices based on the clients’ backgrounds and individual situations.

l Remain up-to-date with current U.S. immigration policies and trends.

l Able to collaborate with case coordinators and external agents.

l Think constructively and outside the box to provide prospective clients with all possible options

l Draft forms, prepare documents and submissions independently at the instruction of a lawyer

l Direct communication with clients in writing and by phone for the obtention of the documentation necessary for submissions as well as advise on required changes to documentation provided

l Detailed analysis of documentation provided by clients

l Organize, maintain file list, and diarize deadlines

l Along with lawyer, prioritize workload and complete tasks under time constraints

l Maintain timely and effective communication with clients and other stakeholders

Requirement

l One year of U.S. immigration experience or legal background

l Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

l Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

l Experience in immigration law is preferred;

l Strong research, writing, and analytical skills are essential.

l Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

l Independent thinking

l Able to manage and push forward case processing from beginning to end
