The Law Firm of Shihab & Associates, Co., LPA is seeking an associate attorney for its expanding Columbus office.
Candidates must have a minimum of three years experience in civil litigation and criminal law . The successful candidate will have responsibilities to manage the family immigration and expanding federal litigation practice. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required as well as the ability to work both independently and with others and respect for client confidentiality.
Responsibilities includes: performing legal research; interacting with clients in a manner consistent with firm policies and mission; reviewing client input in firm's case management portal; following firm procedures in case processing; drafting applications/petitions/complaints, support letters, legal memoranda. Requests supporting documents; responding to Requests for Evidence or Notices of Intent to Deny in a timely manner; efficiently managing caseload; drafting pleadings for federal court litigation; contributing to firm growth; participating in marketing efforts; drafting articles for publication. It is critical for the successful candidate to be completely immersed in firm vision, law practice culture and team oriented workflow.
Must be highly ethical and team oriented. Minimum 3 years experience in civil and criminal litigation. License to practice law in any state.
