Key Qualifications:
- Experience in Legal Documentation: Demonstrated experience in drafting legal briefs, motions, and cover letters is essential.
- Immigration Law Expertise: Familiarity with USCIS family-based immigration and Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) proceedings is highly valued.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in Spanish is required unless bilingual in French, as we have a significant French-speaking client base.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Collaborative Case Management: Work closely with attorneys to support case planning, preparation, and management, ensuring thorough and accurate casework.
- Diverse Caseload Exposure: Gain hands-on experience with asylum cases, recent arrivals, and detained individuals, developing a well-rounded foundation in immigration law.
- Client Communication: Engage compassionately with clients, conducting intake interviews, preparing affidavits, and assisting in case preparation to provide the highest standard of service.
