Trueline's client, a fast-growing immigration law firm with a high-volume practice, is seeking an Immigration Paralegal to join their team in Queens, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced immigration professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys meaningful client advocacy, and wants to play a key role supporting individuals and families through complex immigration matters.
What You'll Do as the Immigration Paralegal:
- Draft and prepare a variety of immigration filings, applications, motions, and supporting documentation
- Assist attorneys with removal defense, asylum, and other immigration matters
- Communicate with clients to gather case information and supporting evidence
- Track case deadlines and ensure timely submission of filings
- Maintain organized case files and documentation
- Coordinate with attorneys and support staff to move cases efficiently through the legal process
- Help manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Support hearing preparation and other litigation-related activities as needed
Must-Haves as the Immigration Paralegal:
- Prior immigration law experience with significant drafting responsibilities
- Strong understanding of immigration case preparation and filing procedures
- Excellent written communication and document preparation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively with clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Comfortable working primarily in-office in Queens, NY
Nice-To-Haves as the Immigration Paralegal:
- Experience supporting removal defense and asylum matters
