We are seeking a bilingual (Portuguese or Spanish) paralegal with prior experience in immigration law. Knowledge in removal defense, especially in working with clients detained by immigration is highly valued.
If you have a desire to help immigrant families stay together, and people who have suffered abuse or violence find dignity and achieve legal status in the United States, then this position will give you an opportunity to do just that.
As a removal defense paralegal at Massa Viana Law, you will work under the supervision of our attorneys. You will also work alongside our virtual assistants and serve as a bridge between the fully remote paralegals and our local clients. In this role, you will:
· Draft, Assemble, review and file packages;
· Assemble, review and file packages prepared by remote paralegals;
· Quality-check the work prior to its submission;
· Meet with clients to collect signatures and review/edit affidavits;
· Keep track of deadlines and help your remote paralegals keep cases on schedule;
· Interpret client meetings, and facilitate communication between attorneys and clients.

Pay: From $27+ per hour, based on experience
