OVERVIEW:
The Practice Support Manager, Implementations & Optimization is accountable for driving process optimization and operational cohesion for existing legal teams, acquisitions, and new office openings across the firm. This position ensures that talent, technology, and workflows are effectively coordinated to support consistent, efficient, and scalable service delivery. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, the role focuses on implementing established end-to-end processes, improving visibility across teams, and aligning resources and systems to strategic priorities and firmwide process and protocol. A proactive mindset toward process improvement, operational integration, and data-driven planning is key to the Manager advancing the firm’s efficiency and long-term growth objectives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead firmwide process optimization initiatives, ensuring consistent, scalable, and integrated operational workflows across all existing legal teams, newly acquired groups, and newly established offices.
- Support the refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure smooth onboarding and integration of acquired teams and new locations into the firm’s legal operations model.
- Partner with senior leadership to align operational strategies and process improvements with business goals, growth plans, and long-term integration priorities.
- Conduct comprehensive operational assessments of new acquisitions and new office openings to identify gaps, harmonize workflows, and ensure alignment with firmwide practices and technology systems.
- Drive cross-functional coordination between legal teams, operations, finance, technology, and People & Culture to ensure seamless implementation of shared processes and consistent application of firm standards.
- Optimize on the ground end-to-end legal workflows, focusing on improving efficiency, reducing redundancy, and standardizing practices across teams and product lines.
- Support the implementation of change management efforts related to process updates, integrations, and system enhancements, ensuring (new) teams are supported, trained, and aligned.
- Design and manage integration playbooks, outlining standardized processes for incorporating new teams, offices, and service offerings into the firm’s operational ecosystem.
- Proactively identify operational bottlenecks and implement sustainable improvements across legacy teams and newly integrated groups.
- Serve as a primary Legal Operations liaison for acquisitions, office expansions, and large-scale organizational transitions, ensuring legal operations needs are represented and integrated from planning through execution.
- Collaborate with Knowledge Management, Reporting, Product, and other operations teams to continuously support the implementation of firmwide processes, policies, and technology solutions through a Legal Operations lens.
- Maintain a deep operational understanding of the immigration legal landscape to anticipate process impacts, risks, and opportunities as the firm evolves.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years’ relevant and/or industry experience
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience implementing and optimizing firmwide process initiatives for high-volume transactional immigration legal work
- Deep understanding of proprietary immigration case management software and related reporting and analytics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and ability to communicate and influence executive leadership.

- Acute attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
- Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach daily.
- Able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone.
- Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Regular and on-time attendance.
- Must be able to prioritize, schedule, and complete testing required for multiple applications with overlapping schedules.
- A certain degree of creativity and flexibility is required.
- Hours may exceed 40 hours per week.
- Occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
